She is known for her role as Samantha Jones in the HBO comedy/romance series Sex and the City, and for her leading roles in the 1980s films Police Academy, Big Trouble in Little China, Mannequin, and Porky ’s. From 16 September 2011, she has been appearing in a production of Noël Coward’s Private Lives in Toronto co-starring Paul Gross (to end 30 October 2011); the production will then move to Broadway where it will open 6 November 2011.
